Online Safety Workshops

With so many different ways of communicating resulting from advances in technology, it is essential to understand how children can stay safe, and limit the risk presented by online media.

This workshop is designed to identify and understand the different tools that children and young people use to communicate, and how adults and professionals can support and reinforce messages about staying safe whilst online.

This workshop is usually around 1 hour in length, and can be delivered as a workshop or presentation. It can also be adapted for any audience including pupils, staff, governors and parents.

The workshop will include;

  • What is online safety?
  • Understanding how young people communicate
  • Social media
  • Facebook and young people
  • Guidelines for staying safe online

Client Feedback

We commissioned Apoyo to deliver some training for our cluster of 23 schools. The training ran over several days and Apoyo trained more than 80 staff. The sessions were very well organised and the feedback from delegates was excellent, with many expressing a wish for more! The trainers style was both interactive and engaging, he had a great sense of humour which helped everyone feel at ease and eager to listen, learn and contribute.
